Steve Williams, Tiger Woods' former caddie has been widely criticised for his disrespectful comments about his ex-employer after new boss Adam Scott's win on Sunday. 

Many public figures, as well as fans, took to Twitter to express their surprise that Williams would speak in this way.

Paul Azinger, the 2008 US Ryder Cup captain said, "Steve Williams breaks the unwritten caddy rule, by talking to the press. Most don't, a few do at times when appropriate." 

US tennis star Andy Roddick tweeted, "Am I missing something? Was Steve the one actually playing?"
