Mark Webber was fastest in the first practice session yesterday for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

The Brits are enjoying a typical English summer, with heavy rain so conditions were hampered.

Webber's quickest lap was 1m 46.603 seconds, while Michael Schumaker, who is renouned for his love of driving in wet conditions, was two-thirds of a second behind.

The afternoon session was halted as rain fell down.

Webber will be hoping for a second consecutive win at Silverstone.

Teammate Vettel limited his time on the track yesterday.

F1 newcomer, Daniel Ricciardo was slowest. He is driving for Hispania Racing and making his Formula One debut this weekend.
