V8 Supercar racing has announced it will run a new Grand Slam - including four events; this weekend's Clipsal 500 in Adelaide, the Bathurst 1000, the Gold Coast SuperCarnivale and the final event of the year which was a new event to Sydney last year.

The prize being offered to the driver who can win all four events is a massive $2,000,000.

In reality however, this is a very tough call - for one driver to win the four biggest events of the season.

Current series champion Jamie Whincup appears to stand the best chance having won three events in previous seasons at Adelaide, Bathurst and the Gold Coast.

Whincup said it was a great incentive.
