Fijiian Akuila Uate's sacrifice of representing his country has been worthwhile as he has been selected to play for NSW in the State of Origin match at Suncorp Stadium next Wednesday night.

It will be Uate's first State of Origin game.

The 23 year old said he was speechless at getting picked and told how excited his family in Fiji was.
