Nathan Tinkler has been revealed as yesterday's mystery buyer of Black Caviar's half brother.

A tough bidding war erupted over the colt, with Caviar's managing owner Neil Werrett on a mission to secure the young relative, but $1 million was not enough, and Tinkler certainly had the cash behind him.

A phenomenal thirty-three bids went back and forth, until the colt sold for $1.025 million.
