Aussie swimmer Ian Thorpe said he was 'satisfied' with his comeback progress so far at a press conference in Sydney today.
He is back on Australian turf temporarily to see head coach Leigh Nugent before heading back to his training base in Switzerland at the end of the week.
Thorpe said he still has a long way to go, but is happy with where he's at right now and is starting to look like a swimmer again.
It's believed he will make his competitive return at the World Cup series meet in Singapore in November and then take part in the Queensland state titles in December.
He confirmed he will only be competing in the 100m and 200m freestyle events, and not the 400m.
