South Sydney's Dave Taylor will miss next Wednesday's State of
Origin series decider in Brisbane after taking an early guilty plea to a dangerous
throw charge.
Taylor was charged for a lifting tackle on Bronco's Scott Anderson in Perth on Friday.
The Queensland forward will
face four weeks on the sidelines unless he is successful in his appeal at an NRL judiciary
hearing tomorrow night which would reduce the charge from a grade two
to a grade one.
A grade one charge means he would only miss one NRL match, but he would still not be allowed to play in the Origin game at Suncorp Stadium on July 6, since a loophole in the system was closed by the ARL in 2002.
