Timana Tahu will return to the Newcastle Knights next year on a two-year signing.
The star player has had somewhat of a rollercoaster career since leaving the Knights to join Parramatta in 2005, which was followed by two years in rugby union before returning to the Eels last year.
Tahu then joined the Panthers this year but his season was cut short when he tore a pectoral muscle.
So his career will come full-circle when he rejoins the Knights next season, under new coach Wayne Bennett.
He said he was excited to be coming home to the Knights ''at a time when the club has commenced an exciting era with private ownership, a variety of new faces, a new stadium and the arrival of Wayne Bennett."
