Sydney Swans coach John Longmire spoke to AFL umpire boss Jeff Gieschen on Monday after the Swans contentious loss to Fremantle on Sunday.

Longmire said they had discussed the refs' calls made during the match, going through some of the free-kicks and Gieschen did admit some of those given were wrong.

But the coach said there was no point dwelling on the past, and has decided to drop the issue.

He said the team remains disappointed but they must get on with the next game, when they will face  the Bulldogs, who are vying for a place in the finals.

He said a win for the Swans was crucial this weekend.
