Canterbury Bulldogs CEO Todd Greenberg has confirmed NSW Blues coach Ricky Stuart is on the candidates shortlist for the head coach role, and that current caretaker coach Jim Dymock will remain at the Dogs, whatever the outcome.
Rumours have been flying about that Stuart is already a done deal for the role, but Greenberg denied these, saying they were far from the truth.
The shortlist also includes Bradford's Michael Potter, Huddersfield's Nathan Brown, Castleford's Terry Matterson and Hull KR's Justin Morgan, among others.
Dymock is also a strong candidate, having assisted Stuart in the Blues Origin campaign. Greenberg said they were giving him the opportunity to prove his head coach abilities now.
If Stuart got the job, he would have to relinquish the NSW Blues as Canterbury and the NSWRL have stated he cannot perform both roles.
