Tottenham Hotspur have defeated AC Milan 1-0 in their Champions League match at San Siro stadium today.

It was Spurs' first Champions League match, but they dominated the first half of the game at the powerful Milan team's homeground.

Peter Crouch scored for Spurs, just 10 minutes before the final whistle.

Milan fought back, and looked like they had managed a draw at the eleventh hour, but the goal was offside.

Hot-headed AC midfielder Gennaro Gattuso ended the game on a sour note as he lost his temper and head-butted Spurs assistant manager Joe Jordan, which nearly caused a riot among a number of players and staff.

AC Milan will now be on the back foot when they play Tottenham at White Hart Lane in three weeks.
