South Korea has won its bid to host the 2018 Winter Olympics.

They got 63 votes out of 95 total votes.

South Korean president Lee Myung-Bak was overjoyed by the outcome and thanked the IOC committee.

He said it was a victory for Koreans and they would make a 'good Olympics.' 

 Kim Jin-Seun had led South Korea's previous two unsuccessful bids was overwhelmed that after 17 years of trying, they had finally won the bid.
