Snow Worries! 9/02/2010 2:30:03 PM

The Winter Olympics' training schedule has been restricted ahead of the games later this week due to a lack of snow, but the Aussies aren't worried, they're used to similar conditions.

The Cypress Mountain site will host freestyle and snowboarding events but was closed to the public 3 weeks early due to warm temperatures, and since then a mammoth effort to ferry snow from the higher slopes has been underway.

AOC spokesman Mike Tancred reckoned they had done a fantastic job with the snow and said the Aussies wouldn't be worried by these conditions.

Olympian aerialist Jacqui Cooper said the conditions could be great for Australiasn competitors because they were used to skiing in slushy conditions back home.

Some more great news was recieved yesterday, when the International Olympic Committee agreed to keep the Boxing Kangaroo flag flying in the athletes village.
