South African Charl Schwartzel yesterday won the 75th Masters by two strokes over Australians Adam Scott and Jason Day.
Scwartzel produced three birdies in a row and needed only to par the 18th to win his first major title at age 26.
He dropped a 15-footer for birdie to finish off a six-under par 66, the field's low round.
Schwartzel's win left Australia still without a Masters title, having denied Scott and Day their hopes of winning.
The Masters remains the only major title to elude Australia.
