Italian Francesca Schiavone continues to defend her title at the French Open as she went through to the semi final after beating Russian teenager Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova at Roland Garros.

Schaivone was a set and 4-1 down but she fought her way back to win 1-6, 7-5. 7-5.

She will face French woman Marion Bartoli in the semi final tomorrow.
