Sacked Caddy Loses Respect 23/07/2011 2:29:22 PM

Tiger Woods' sacked caddy Steve Williams has spoken of losing his respect for the former world no 1 golfer.

Woods announced on his website this week that he had parted company from Williams saying he felt it was time for a change.

Williams had stuck by the falling icon through the sex-scandal which was revealed almost two years ago.

He worked for Woods for 12 years, during which time he won 13 of his 14 majors.

But since the scandal broke, Woods has slipped down through the rankings and not played as much or as well.

Williams said he felt like he had wasted the last two years of his life as Woods showed no loyalty in return.

He said he had told Woods at the time of the scandal that he lost respect for him, and it needed to be earned back.

But since the sacking any respect has well and truly gone.

He said he was disappointed by the timing given how loyal he had been, and felt that it didn't mean much to Tiger after all.
