Royal Sydney to Host Tennis Event 6/08/2011 2:41:18 PM

The Royal Sydney Golf Club will play host to the tennis Davis Cup World Group playoff next month.

It will be the first tennis event there in more than a decade.

Australia will play its crucial playoff against Switzerland on the grass courts there September 16-18.

Captain Pat Rafter spoke of the team's excitement at the coming event and hoped they could achieve a place in the World Group, in front of their home supporters.
