The Red bull team had a disappointing time at the opening practice ahead of the first F1 race of the season in Bahrain tomorrow.
Drivers Mark Webber from Australia, and Sebastian Vettel from Germany, didn't manage to achieve consistent track times and competitive performances at the practice.
Webber managed just 12 laps in the afternoon after encountering problems with his car's gearbox. He was 17th overall.
He said he would be concentrating on qualifying in today's practice.
Webber said afterwards he could already see how competitive it was going to be this season.
Vettel didn't think his 35 laps were enough to assess the car's performance or make any adjustments it might need. He came in 5th fastest of the afternoon.
