Channel Nine's rugby league commentator Ray Warren has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Warren, said he was remaining positive since the diagnosis three days ago and had spoken to friends who had survived it.

 He said he wasn't ready to leave his life as he's having far too good a time having a lovely wife and 13-year-old daughter.

Warren hoped he would be rid of the cancer after undergoing an operation this week.
