Veteran NRL player Preston Campbell will play on for Gold Coast Titans after re-signing with them for another year.

Campbell,34, had been thinking he may retire but said he wanted to help the Titans during a "transitional phase" next year.   

He said the chance to play on the team with newcomers such as Jamal Idris had changed his mind into staying.
