Sir Alex Ferguson's risky changes paid off for Manchester United as they thwarted Leeds 3-0.

Sir Alex had made 11 changes to a line-up which had defeated Chelsea 3-1 at the weekend, and selected a number of new faces, but it was veteran player Michael Owen who scored two goals within 30 minutes and helped seal their win.
