New Melbourne Demons coach Todd Viney has dropped 4 players from Saturday's match against Carlton at the MCG.

Viney was appointed as caretaker coach last Sunday after the Demons' nightmare 31 goal loss to Geelong. 

Colin Sylvia, Liam Jurrah, Addam Maric and Daniel Nicholson are the four to go, while ruckman Mark Jamar is sidelined with an injured foot.
