A number of Manly Sea Eagles players have been exposed for responding to a 'groupie's' online advances.
The 'groupie' however, turned out to be an undercover police officer who was employed by the NRL to test the players, before she hosted a seminar at the club depicting the risks of using Facebook and Twitter to interact with fans.
Australian Federal Police officer Melissa Sevil had set up a fake Facebook account and approached some of the players online in a sexual way to test how they would respond.
At the seminar, she then outed each of the players who had fallen for the trap, pointing at each one individually.
All 16 NRL clubs have taken part in the trap and seminar, with similar results.
