Julia Gillard's proposed poker machine caps will threaten the future of some of the NRL's biggest clubs, according to some.
The Broncos and Souths Juniors have already spoken out against the capping, saying they will be effectively ruined by the losses they will incur.
Today's Daily Telegraph revealed leagues clubs will lose more than $200 million.
$25 million will be lost from 11 NRL teams, such as the Broncos and the Bulldogs and the junior clubs will be $15 million down.
However, Families Minister Jenny Macklin said the clubs' claims are "a total overreaction".
