The NRL broadcasting deal could net the code $1.4 billion dollars, but NRL chief executive David Gallop has refused to confirm an amount.
Charimen and chief executives from the 16 clubs met in Sydney yesterday, and the NRL put forward a number of scenarios based on what they expect from media rights.
Gallop did state the game is in a great position and intends to capitalise on it.
The AFL's deal will receive $1.253bn over five years starting next season. The NRL deal is set to be even bigger.
