Olympic ski races on the Whistler mountains were postponed yesterday as heavy snow fell, making the pistes unskiable.
Officials from the International Ski Federation (FIS) have delayed the men's super-combined and women's downhill training. To date, only 1 out of 10 events has actually been raced, meaning these events will be pushed back, probably until Friday and Sunday, which will then have a knock-on effect on events such as the super-G and giant slalom which are already scheduled for those dates.
The Cypress Mountain venue has weather problems of its own still - where it is too warm with rain and fog which has caused cancellations and rescheduling of women's snowboarding and half pipe events.
Meanwhile, the National Hockey League is about to hit the ice, with host Canda firm favourites to win the event.
