Canterbury Bulldogs coach Kevin Moore has denied he will be sacked if his side doesn't get a win soon.
Speculation has been mounting for some time but Moore said he would not be distracted from the job in hand - which is to turn the team's performance around.
The Bulldogs currently languish in 10th spot.
The club's chairman took the unusual step of writing a letter to fans, assuring them Moore would remain.
Moore is on contract until the end of next year.
The Bulldogs will be without star NSW hooker Michael Ennis who has been coughing up blood since being injured in Wednesday night's State of Origin final.
Ennis is still waiting to undergo scans after delayed flights from Brisbane meant he missed his appointment.
