A day of double-shocking news for the racing industry today as trainer Peter Moody has announced the immediate retirement of champion mare Typhoon Tracy, and his unbeaten two-year-old One Last Dance has been spelled.
Typhoon Tracy had only just broken her 10 month losing run when she won the Group One C.F. Orr Stakes at Caulfield last Saturday.
But Moody said the mare had 'given her all' and after speaking with her owner, decided to retire her straight away.
One Last Dance had won Blue Diamond Preview and Prelude and was in with a shot of winning the Blue Diamond Stakes on February 26.
However Moody said she would not be at her best for the Blue Diamond so a spell was in order.
