Horse Trainer Peter Moody has escaped sanction over a positive swab from his horse Lethal Arrow, back when it won in Pakenham in May this year.
Moody fronted the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board on Tuesday over a charge that his galloper Lethal Arrow had tested positive to prohibited substance Oripavine.
He pleaded guilty to the charge but said there were mitigating circumstances where he believed Lethal Arrow's feed was contaminated by another source.
The Board agreed with Moody and while a conviction was recorded, he escaped any fine or suspension over the matter, being resolved just in time for the Spring Carnival.
With the amazing run of the champion mare Black Caviar, has made Moody somewhat a bit of a celbrity in racing over the past 12 months, while he has another mare King's Rose, in the Cox Plate, just his second ever runner in the race.
Moody is happy with the results, and is looking forward to a busy and positive Sprig Carnival.
