Legendary footballer Maradona has been appointed head coach of Dubai's Al-Wasl Football Club.
The club confirmed yesterday that he will lead the team for the next two seasons.
The fiery ex-manager of Argentina's national team was sacked after his team lost 4-0 to Germany in the World Cup quarter-finals.
The club's chairman Marwan Bin Bayat said: "Al-Wasl Sports Club has become synonymous with achievements of this calibre, and we are very pleased to be welcoming Maradona to a long line of accolades in the club's history.
