Magpies coach Mick Malthouse believes the team may lose one of their assistant coaches as they could be up for the job at St Kilda after Ross Lyon's departure last week.
Collingwood already lost their midfield coach Mark Neeld last week when he took over as Melbourne's senior coach.
Malthouse said the team would adapt very quickly if it had to.
He added he always practiced empowerment in his coaches and encouraged them to go forward for senior roles.
