Li Na made history at Roland Garros yesterday as she became the first player from China to win a Grand Slam singles title.
She beat defending champion Francesca Schiavone of Italy 6-4 7-6 (7-0).
Li Na's first Grand Slam attempt was in January this year, when she lost to Kim Clijsters in the Australian Open.
She said she had been nervous then but had used her experience and had more confidence this time.
