Newcastle Knights fought hard today to earn their 24-20  victory over Cronulla Sharks at Ausgrid Stadium today.

The Sharks put on a dazzling game and fullback Nathan Gardner almost turned the game back on their side, but Tinkler's Knights won and managed to break a three-match losing streak.
