Harry Kewell has not been selected for the Socceroos squad which will play against Wales in a friendly next week due to fitness concerns.

Coach Holger Osieck said Kewell was not in great shape right now and so he'd opted for Lucas Neill in his place, as he had been putting in a lot of work and was fully fit.

Kewell's omission has sparked more stories that he is looking for another club, and it's common knowledge that Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory are both pursuing him, but it's believed his manager is looking to the European A-League for possibilities.   

Osieck said he hoped Harry would be in good shape for the World Cup qualifier against Thailand on September 2.
