Karuta Queen's shock defeat in the Group 2 Black Opal Stakes yesterday made quite a dent to her Golden Slipper hopes.

The filly had previously been unbeaten in her last 4 runs, including the Magic Millions but You're Canny put an end to her winning streak and changed the betting for the $3.5 million Golden Slipper on April 2 considerably. 

Karuta Queen's trainer Neville Layt said he was disappointed but she was still on track for the Golden Slipper.
