England manager Fabio Capello looks likely to restore fallen captain John Terry to his leading role saying Terry had served a year of 'punishment'  for his affair with teammate Wayne Bridge's ex-partner.

Capello believes Terry is still the best leader and does not wish to continue swapping the captain's armband.

It is is understood he will make an official announcement on the eve of their match against Wales and will travel to Manchester to tell Rio Ferdinand, who has been acting as captain,  the news.
