Lleyton Hewitt has won his first match since his foot surgery in March at the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, Germany.

He made short work of Argentine qualifier Leonardo Mayer, beating him 6-2 6-3 in just an hour.

Hewitt will face Italian Andreas Seppi in the second round.

He said he was not bothered by rankings right now, and was focusing on Wimbledon, which starts June 25 - July 8.
