Travis Tuck of the Hawthorn Hawks has been named by the media as the AFL player who required hospital care after a suspected drug overdose on Friday night.

Tuck's older brother Shane plays for Richmond and their father is AFL games record holder and Hawthorn legend Michael Tuck.

Neither the Hawks nor the AFL have confirmed it was Travis however.
