Manly coach Des Hasler has confirmed that he will remain head coach for the Manly Sea Eagles after Sundays Grand Final win against the Warriors.

Hasler said reports linking him to the Bulldogs next season were mere speculation, and he would honor his 12-month contract extension which he recently signed.

Hasler does not want to leave Manly and hopes to finalise a long-term deal soon. Penn said he had no problems with Canterbury approaching Hasler for 2013 but insisted he was under contract for next year, and had his duties to the Manly Sea Eagles.

''It's a competitive industry that we work in so as long as it was for 2013 and beyond they have got every right to do that but if they were trying to snag him for 2012 that is probably stepping over the line," said Penn.
