Cronulla Sharks captain Paul Gallen may be charged with dangerous contact by the NRL's match-review committee.
He was tackled by Gold Coast Titans five-eighth Beau Henry who held onto Gallen's boot momentarily during Saturday night's match at Toyota Stadium.
As Gallen tried to remove his leg from the tackle, it appeared as though he kicked his opponent.
Gallen defended his move saying there had been no intent from him, he was just trying to get out of the tackle.
However footage of the incident appears to show his leg was already free when he kicked out, and he may cop a one-match suspension.
