Port Adelaide winger Danyle Pearce has spoken out after being racially abused by a SANFL spectator last month.

Pearce said racism still continues in Aussie Rules Football, despite the annual indigenous event.

He said it was down to narrow-minded people who should really be pitied for their lack of knowledge.  

But he did acknowledge things had improved 'ten-fold' from where it was before.
