Five football players for Mexico players have been withdrawn from the team playing for the Gold Cup after testing positive for banned substances.
However, far from being anything too sinister, the general secretary of the Mexican federation said he believed the players had unfortunately eaten contaminated.
The tests were conducted May 21, and evidence apparently points to all five having eaten the contaminated meat or chicken.
The banned substance which was detected was the anabolic agent clenbuterol.
Mexico are due to play Cuba on Thursday in the Gold Cup, which is the championship of North and Central America and the Caribbean.
