A pre-recorded Nike advert featuring England's national rugby team as "Grand Slam Champions 2011" has caused major embarrassment after it was leaked online despite the fact that England were thrashed 24-8 by Ireland at the weekend.

The RFU stated dismay at the leak and explained the ad had been shot a while ago for commercial purposes and did not reflect any dismissal of Ireland as the opposing team.
