New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has admitted that
watching his brother win Super Bowl accolades inspired him to go even further.
The younger of the two brothers stood on the touchline as Peyton Manning
claimed the Most Valuable Player award when the Indianapolis Colts beat the
Chicago Bears 29-17 to lift the Super Bowl championship. However, only one year
passed before Manning Jr. matched the achievement when he picked up the
accolade in 2008 as the Giants registered a shock Super Bowl win against the
New England Patriots. And with Manning preparing for Super Bowl XLV1 on
Sunday when his Giants side will line up against the Patriots once again, the
31-year old could surpass Peyton and double his MVP title
tally.
