David Hayes-trained Eagle Falls has won the Group One Oakleigh Plate at Caulfield today.

With top jockey Damien Oliver aboard, Eagle Falls had settled midfield in the 1100m sprint, but came strongly forward at great pace in the home straight to claim his victory.

 Afterwards Oliver said he knew the horse had a big finish to offer and 'just flew over the top of them'

Hayes was happy with Eagles Falls' first Group One win and said he hoped there would be more to come from the consistent horse.
