Disqualified Dutch speed skater Sven Kramer allegedly pushed and shouted at a female volunteer as he left the oval infield, after losing out on the gold medal.
The Dutchman was hot favourite to win the 10,000m event and did indeed come over the line first. He thought he had won but there was a lane infringement which meant he was disqualified. He was obviously devastated, the loss made even worse as he would've scooped his 3rd gold in Vancouver. He threw his goggles down to the ground on hearing he was disqualified.
Afterwards he apologised for his behaviour and said he blamed his coach for the infringement, as he had directed him to the inner lane when he was taking the outer, and this was when the violation occurred.
Korea's Lee Seung-Hoon took the gold and set a new Olympic record with his time of 12:58.55 which was actually 4 seconds slower than Kramer.
