St George Illawarra Dragons defeated the Wigan Warriors 21-15 on Sunday to win the World Club Challenge.

The Dragons did not get off to a brilliant start however, when their inspirational coach Wayne Bennett had to return home shortly after landing in the UK on learning that his mother-in-law was seriously ill.

The Dragons' confidence knocked by lack of coach, the Warriors kicked off with a goal straight away but it didn't take teh Dragons long to fight back with their first goal in the tenth minute.
