Australian qualifier Jelena Dokic is set to play Australian Open champion Kim Clijsters in the quarter-finals of the WTA's Paris Open.

Dokic beat fifth seeded Russian Nadia Petrova 6-4 7-6.

Clijsters will become the world No.1 over Caroline Wozniacki if she beats Dokic.
