Chile will still host the Davis Cup Tie against Israel starting this Friday, despite the earthquake which has killed 700 people and counting.

The President of the Chile Tennis Federation backed the decision to go ahead as planned. The event is being hosted in the northern port of Coquimbo which did not suffer severe damage in the quake. 

Singles player Nicolas Massu arrived yesterday and said he was concerned for the people of Chile but he was ready to play.
