Chelsea's Ashley Cole has suffered a broken ankle in a UK match on Wednesday against Everton. He has been ruled out of the game for 3 months and will now find himself trying to get fit worryingly close to the World Cup in June.

Chelsea are understandably very disappointed to lose such an important player for that period of time.

It is hoped however, that he will be back before the end of the season and be in time to join the England squad for their first game of the World Cup which will be against the US on June 12.
